Igatpuri , Nashik : One small child drowned in a pond at Igatpuri taluka Village amberwadi. From there it is four km walk through to reach devandi  The deceased Pandurang Eknath Thevale (age 13 years) of, Ambewadi village devandi. Had gone to the pond to fetch water for his house was all alone and then his friends noticed him slip and hit his head on a rock and fell in to the pond. The locals informed Ghoti police station, API Jalendar and his team was informed about the rescue mission.
From last three days they were unable to trace the deceased they had to call for a backup from the under water expert Mr Govind Tupe and the rescuing team compromising volunteers from Mahindra & Mahindra, Igatpuri Plant Mr Harish Chaube (Security and Fire officer) for the search mission of the missing. The water being cold and muddy and deep no one was ready to entry inside we had done that.
After 3 days of searching on the 21th May 2020 at 6:00 pm in the evening his body was fished out and sent for post-mortem.
The police staff and the villagers observed that there was a cliff and the height was approximately 70 feet .
