Fire Fighter’s Contribution – Combating Covid-19 PANDEMIC

Suncity of Rajasthan State, Popularly known as Jodhpur. In the month of March, the city was knocked down by the corona epidemic & in its first week from 22nd to 28th March 2020 a total number of 6 cases came in front as of the Positive. After this there was a huge increase in it day-by-day which  reached its peak at 80 cases on 4th May & the total number of 873 were registered till 10th May, with in a period of 50 days.

Although there have been  some deaths due to this epidemic but their rate was very low because the Administration here was very cautious in this regard. Due to Administrative alertness out of the total 873 numbers of patients, 438 were discharged from hospital & went back to their respective homes after recovery 16 died & 418 patients are still hospitalized & undergiving treatment. Sanitizing the city for prevention of epidemic was a seriously  challenging task for which Mr. Prakash Rajpurohit (IAS)  the District collector  and Chairman District Disaster Management  Authority Jodhpur & Mr. Suresh kumar Ola (IAS) Commisioner  Muncipal Corporation Jodhpur appointed Sanjay Sharma Chief fire officer Jodhpur as the Nodal Offficer for this Sanitizing work. On this Sanjay Sharma chief fire officer constituted Assembly Area wise a seperate team for the city and undertook the responsibility of sanitizing the entire city by spraying water with Sodium Hypochlorite. The result of the skillful leadership and experience of CFO Sanjay Sharma was that Spraying approximately 40 Lac liters of water with Sodium Hypochlorite in 42 days by making around 1280 trips by 10th May more than 80% areas of the city were Sanitized. Apart from this the fire accidents of the city were also controlled in time & the property of common people were protected from the loss of money by FIRE.

Impressed by this work of corona worriors of Fire Department Local Public has welcomed them by cheering and putting flowers & flower Garland In this order some personnel have also been honoured  by the District Collector. Chief fire officer, Assistant fire officer & some Fireman have not been able to visit their family for the last 2 months due to the busyness of the said work.

The Fire Department’s resolve is  to Defeat Corona & India has to Win.
