The first edition of Fire & Security Expo 2017 (FSIE 2017) concluded successfully on 25th February, 2017 at IEML, Greater Noida.
The 3 day event from February 22-25, 2017 witnessed good number of participation from exhibitors from Fire & Security domain displaying innovative and leading technologies.
The event was jointly organised by the Fire & Security Association of India (www.fsai.in) and NürnbergMesse India (www.nuernbergmesse-india.in). FSIE 2017 was inaugurated by Chief Guest – Mr. Prakash Mishra – Director General (DG) Fire
Civil Defence Guard – Ministry Of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. Other eminent dignitaries present such as Mr. Manoj Shenoy – Business Line Director IDEX, Mr. Ajit Raghavan – General Secretary FSAI, Mr. Rakesh Arora – Chairman FSIE, Mr. Pankaj Dharkar – National President FSAI, Mr. N R Markandya – Director Fire & Emergency Fire Service, Mr. Peter Ottmann – CEO NuernbergMesse Group, Mr. P S Rahangdale – Director Maharashtra Fire Service, Mr. Ashok Menon – Director Goa Fire & Emergency Services and Mr. Hemel Dhakan – COO Prama Hik Vision India.
The Inauguration ceremony was followed by workshops and technical sessions by Industry experts on various Fire Safety and Security topics such as Overview, current status & changes in the National Building Code of India (NBC), Fire & Security in building services and Warehouse protection. The first day of the show began with the keynote address by Mr. Uwe Kirchner, President – Fire & Rescue, IDEX. Finest India Skills and Talent (F.I.S.T.) Awards 2017 which honoured the extraordinary contribution of organization and individuals in the field of security, safety, fire fighting and emergency response, had twelve different categories for the awards. The winners included leading names like Bosch Limited for Best Fire Safe Company, Delhi International Airport (P) Limited for Best Fire Safe Company – Services, Visakhapatam Steel Plant (RINL) – CISF Fire Wing – Best Fire Safe Company – Manufacturing, Indian Oil Corporation Limited for Best Fire Consulting Project, Sabarmati Capital One Limited (GIFT One Building) for Best Integrated Project, Gujarat International Finance Tec City Company Limited (GIFT City) for Best Innovation – Fire Safety Make in India, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. – Mundra Delhi ipeline for Best Secure Company, BSES Rajdhani Power Limited for Best Secure Company – Services, Essar Steel India Limited for Best Secure Company – Manufacturing, Asf Infrastructure Private Limited for Best Security Consulting Projects, Hayagriva Software Private Limited for Best Innovation – Security, Fire Service Training Institute (FSTI) for Institute of the Year 2017 – for Fire & Security, Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) for Golden Safety Award, and ITC Maurya for Golden Security Award.
The exhibitor spectrum at FSIE 2017 included products from Fire & Protection Systems (Active & Passive), Life Safety Systems, Security & Surveillance Systems, Emergency & Rescue Systems. IDEX for the first time had a Live Demonstration of cutting cars with latest rescue tools & technologies. Said Pankaj Dharkar, National President, FSAI, “An extensive range of safety and security
