India fire service day is observed nationwide on 14th April, in tribute to the brave fire fighters who lost their lives in the massive fire & explosion which occurred at BOMBAY DOCKYARD in 1944. The theme for this year, as directed by the ministry of home affairs is “Firemen – Your Partner for Saving Life and Property” "फायरमैन-जीवन और संपत्ति को बचाने में आपका साथी"
EStILHazira observed National Fire Service Week from 8-14 April 2017. The main objective of this week was to enhance fire safety awareness among employees & associates through various programs.
In line with the Theme of this Year's Fire Service Day, we organized a Knowledge Sharing Session on “Fire Prevention & Fire Protection” which was conducted by Dr. U. K. Chakrabarty from ONGC Hazira. Total 96 employees attended.
Table top scenario based emergency preparedness & response competition. 78 employees from various plant participated.
Scenario based group practical fire fighting competition. Total 96 employees & associates participated.
“ON SPOT FIRE SAFETY QUIZ” organized for EStIL complex. Around 300 employees & associates took part from various plant.
ONLINE Sujhav competition on fire prevention through engineering control.
Fire prevention & emergency preparedness movie screening on local TV channel.
Practical fire fighting & rescue demonstration by FIRE TEAM & Auxiliary fire squad.
Special appreciation awards for various plant & individuals for their contribution towards emergency preparedness & best fire prevention practices
