Every year precious life are being lost in fire incidents to avoid or minimise such loss of life and national property and as per the directive of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, each and every industry and building, institutions need to observe Fire service week in the month of April to spread fire prevention awareness as well as emergency response preparedness.
Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd Fire service organized various interesting event to create awareness inside ports as well as residents township like Feel proud to be fire fighter Photo session with Fireman cut out, On line Fire Safety quiz (I AM FIRE SAFETY CHAMPION), Home Fire Safety and Emergency response awareness campaign (LPG Gas and Electrical Fire safety), Hazardous chemical fire safety awareness, Firefighter Combat Drill competition for Employees and Associates, Hitting Target by water jet competition for Employees and Associates, Evacuation Drill at Adani House and AMCT operations building & Enthralling life rescue & firefighting demonstration.
- Total 354 number of Families participants in Home Fire safety awareness Campaign at Samudra and Shantivan Township of Adani group companies
- Feel to be fire fighter photo session with fireman cut-out 500 Number including Mr Ennarasu Karunesan (CEO APSEZ Mundra & AKBTL Tuna Port) and Mr Avinash Rai (COO,APSEZ) felt like a fire fighter virtually donning fire fighter’s outfits
- Hazardous chemical Fire Safety awareness Campaign total 200 Number participants made aware regarding labels of hazardous chemicals and International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG)

Closing ceremony of National Fire service Week was attended by Mr. Ennarasu Karunesan (CEO APSEZ Mundra & AKBTL Tuna Port) as Chief Guest and also graced by Mr Avinash Rai (COO, APSEZ) and all HOD’s/HOS total 450 number employees and associates. They have witness the capabilities of fire services in handling of toxic and explosive Anhydrous Ammonia gas leakage from tank and casualty rescue by donning of SCBA set (PS 700 model with communication mask) and cryogenic suit, rescue of causality from fire engulfed house where one personnel was sleeping inside house the rescue was executed with the search operation of thermal imaging camera and firefighting operation, Then one road accident simulation with rescue and firefighting operation with hydraulic cutter spreader and Compressed Air Foam System 10.0 Litre portable backpack system and inauguration of simulation based Fire technology park.
