Three-day event in Mumbai showcased latest security, safety, fire protection technologies in the rapidly developing Indian security and fire safety market. The record turnout of visitors spelt grand success for exhibitors.
“Fire & Safety India is a very important event. I think discussions and deliberations at this event will enhance our safety,” said Shri Devendra Fadanavis, Chief Minister, Maharashtra. The show was inaugurated by Chief Minister at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India. The Guest of Honour was Shri Prakash Mehta Minister of Housing, Labour and Mines, Guardian Minister of Raigad District, Government of Maharashtra.
It was followed by welcome address by Sumit Gandhi, CMD, ABEC and Raj Manek, Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt Trade Fairs India. In his introductory speech Devendra Kumar Shami Fire Advisor, Government of India, highlighted the importance of Fire Safety awareness. The keynote speech was given by Shri Maninderjeet Singh Bitta, Chairman, All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF). There was special address by Shri M.V. Deshmukh, Fire Advisor, Government of Maharashtra and President; NAFO.The special guests list included Mumbai’s Chief Fire Officer P. Rahangdale, Government officials and Business Leaders from Security and Fire safety Industries.

In its fifth edition Secutech India 2016 had special focus on Smart Cities, BFSI, and Internet of Things (IoT) as some of the trendy themes with other value offerings. This year we added Fire & Safety India to expand the portfolio of Secutech India. We got great response and support from the Fire Safety Industry,” said Manish Gandhi, COO, Asian Business Exhibitions and Conferences (ABEC).He further added, “We are glad to announce that Secutech India and Fire and Safety India have consolidated its position as the largest Security and Fire Safety Show in India. The show has grown considerably to 20,000 + Sq. Mtrs. This year we had 265+ exhibitors. The response from the industry and end-user community was overwhelming.”

Secutech India and Fire & Safety India 2016 evoked good response from International and Indian visitors. The show attracted over 18000+ visitors from all parts of globe including India, China, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, UAE, Singapore, North Korea, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, USA, UK, Australia, Spain, France and Germany. The show witnessed 20 percent growth in visitor turnout, reflecting the strong demand in the Indian Security and Fire Safety market.
The key thrust was on “Vertical Specific Solution” approach to get the relevant visitors from corporate and government sector. The special attractions were special Banking Zone and innovative fringe programmes, which served the objectives of visitors and business delegates.
Secutech India 2016 was supported by the leading security Industry associations including Asian Professional Security Association (APSA), SECONA, MitKat Advisory Services, ESAI, ASIS International and Telecom Users Group India.
Fire & Safety India 2016 was supported by India’s leading fire safety Associations including Fire Protection Association of India (FPAI), Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI) and National Association of Fire Officers, (NAFO).
Secutech India Safety and Security Conclave (SISSC-2016) and Fire and Safety India Conclave (FSIC) were organized as two parallel conferences. The SISSC 2016 themes include highly contemporary themes related to Smart Cities, BFSI Security Solutions; Internet of Things (IoT). Secutech India Safety and Security Conclave (SISSC-2016) had PwC as the Knowledge Partner and Samsung as the Conference Partner. Fire and Safety India Conclave (FSIC) featured distinguished international speakers and experts in panel discussions. FSIC had presentations on some of the trendy themes including High Rise Buildings, Fire Fighter’s Safety and Codes & Standards –Best Practices related to Fire Safety Industry. Fire and Safety India Conclave (FSIC) had UL as the Knowledge Partner.
The 6th edition of Secutech India and Fire & Safety India will take place from 6-8 April, 2017 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Mumbai.

Second Edition of Shield Awards Celebrates Excellence
The second edition of Shield Awards ceremony was aimed at celebrating excellence of eminent individuals and organizations from the security and fire safety domains. SECONA, in association with Secutech India presented ‘SHIELD AWARDS 2016’ in three groups and 25 plus categories. The Shield Awards had WIPRO as the Platinum sponsor.
