Govt. of India, through Ministry of External Affairs had floated a domestic tender in 2015 for fabrication of 17 Nos. different type of fire vehicles for donation to Government of Nepal under.
The said work was allocated to M/s. United Manufacturing Co. based at Bahadurgarh, Haryana, India and the said vehicles, as per tender specifications were fabricated and delivered by them in July, 2016 to Embassy of India, Nepal.
All the 17 Nos. fire vehicles were delivered to Govt. of Nepal by our Hon'ble Ambassador to Nepal at a function held at the Embassy.
As per the tender clause, the fabricator of these fire vehicles was to conduct training programme for the firemen of Nepal Fire Brigade. The said training was conducted at Kathmandu on 20th March, 2017 by Shri Rajesh Kumar, Quality Control Manager of United Manufacturing Co. The said training programme was attend by Shri Kishor Kumar Bhattarai, Incharge, JuddhaBarun Yantra, Shri Purushotam Subedi, Under Secretary, Govt. of Nepal, Ministry of Federal Affairs & Local Government and Er. PurusotamShakya, Division Chief, Disaster Management Department besides approx. 35 firemen at Kathmandu where all the components of the fire vehicle like Pump, PTO, Monitor, Water Tank and other aspects of the fire vehicle were explained and practical training on the vehicle in an open field was provided by running the pump, throwing the water through monitor and refilling the water tank from the water pond.
The similar programme was also organized at Pokhra on 22nd March, 2017 which was attended by approx 25 persons.
All the queries with regard to fire vehicles were explained to the entire satisfaction of all the persons present at both these places.
