Dr. Avneesh Singh appointed as Principal Advisor & Director General of the IGC-SHW

Dr. Avneesh Singh has been recently appointed as Principal Advisor & Director General of the Indo-German Cooperation for Safety, Health & Wellbeing (IGC-SHW) formerly known as Indo-German Focal Point. The IGC-SHW is an initiative aimed at fostering international collaboration to improve working conditions, reduce occupational risks, and enhance wellbeing across sectors. This joint effort of the German Social Accident Insurance Institution (DGUV) is supported by the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the building trade (BG BAU), the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the energy, textile, electrical and media products sectors (BG ETEM), and the International Association for Prevention in Trade, Goods Logistics and Port Handling.

Previously, Dr. Singh served DGFASLI, Min. of Labour and Employment, Govt. of India for 30 years and retired as Director General and Chief Inspector of Dock Safety (CIDS) of India. He is highly acclaimed Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) professional and has made significant contribution in enhancing the safety and health of the India workforce.
