Fire & Security Association of India, FSAI's Flagship annual event PACC (Project heads, Architects & Consultants Conclave) was organised between August 11 – 14, 2017 at Anantara Riverside Resort, Bangkok, the mesmerizing capital of Thailand. PACC 2017 was attended by over 500 people which included the top Government Bureaucrats, Renowned Architects & Consultants from across the country, finest Technocrats and accomplished Fire Safety and Security Professionals. PACC 2017 saw a confluence of Fire Safety & Security techniques with Technology and IoT making these techniques ever smarter and highly efficient. Every year India loses thousands of invaluable lives & valuable resources due to fire & crime. FSAI through PACC tries to keep the industry professionals at par with the developing technology and updates on information about standards, codes and best practices.
PACC 2017 saw a judicious mix of not only Indian but also International participation where fire chiefs from neighbouring countries also contributed their knowledge and enlightened the audience. PACC 2017 addressed important topics like Intelligent Surveillance in Public Transport, Advantages of Water Mist Over Conventional Systems, What's new in NBC 2016, Monitoring Managing & Mitigating threats in a facility and How Technology shall connect almost everything in our life to make not only smart cities but even smart living. It was also emphasised how Make in India initiatives can help in customising technology and products in Fire & Security Industry.
Several high powered panel discussions were held where high profile panellists who represented the users, technology providers and the enforcement discussed and dwelled upon important topics such as IOT and the Future of Buildings and Cities, BMS Analytics: Maximising the Potential, Technology to protect India in 2025. These discussions highlighted how recent lives lost in Fire incidents or acts of crime be saved in future and how Building automation can reduce dependency of human judgement and act faster to prevent critical damage to life & wealth.
Industry leaders like Mr. Shrinivas Chebbi, President, Intl Operations, Building Business, Schneider Electric, Mr. Ashish Dhakan, MD Hikvision, Mr Ajay Gupta, COO ALP Group of Companies, Mr Teemu Sipila, Manager Marioff Corporation Oy, Mr Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director Super fire & Mr Sanjeev Kataria MD KAT6 participated in the Big 6 Debate moderated by Mr Pramoud Rao, MD Zicom and exchanged their views on Top Technology Trends on Fire & security which will shape the future. Another important session was conducted by Mr Sharad Yadav GM Honeywell Security & Fire wherein various senior officials of Metro rail & Railways scrutinized the various Safety & Security Challenges in this sector. Mr S K Lohia MD & CEO of IRSDC enlightened about the Indian Railway Stations Redevelopment Program and urged the professionals gathered there to suggest innovative ways to make Railway stations efficient, safe & Secure.
Sh. Pankaj R Dharkar President FSAI along with a panel of distinguished people including Mr D K Shami Fire advisor to MoH Govt of India, senior officers from state Fire departments, renowned architects and Hospital designers presented case studies and learnings from major fire incidents like AMRI & the recent London Fire
One of the highlight of the event was a very inspirational and thought-provoking session by Sh. Vikram Singh Ex DG of Police Uttar Pradesh who spoke on the very important issue of National Security and how safe is our sub-continent. PACC 2017 also had a mix of other interesting sessions including inspirational leaders like Mr Vivek Bindra& Mr Suresh Srinivasan motivating the august gathering to achieving higher success and satisfaction in life. A very important self-defence workshop for women was conducted by FSAI member Ms Veena Gupta Srivastava. Amongst glittering entertainment programs FSAI presented special gratitude to personalities who contributed to the Fire & Security industry through their selfless efforts to save valuable lives from Fire & Crime.
The event culminated with FSAI General Secretary Mr Ajit Raghavan and the head of events committee Mr Dominic K P thanking all the dignitaries and 500 plus attendees for making PACC 2017 a success.
FSAI is an ever-growing body of passionate Fire Safety and Security Professionals who are committed in making of a Surakshit Bharath. FSAI today is a 4500+ strong community with 20 Chapters spread across India. Last year FSAI organised 105 events spreading Knowledge, awareness and prevention against Fire & Crime.
