Hikvision and Site-Eye team up to elevate time-lapse filming with advanced camera technology

Hikvision joins forces with Site-Eye, a pioneer in time-lapse video production in the UK, to provide a joint solution that can handle time-lapse projects for customers in a wide range of industries, including construction, infrastructure, and media.

Site-Eye equips customers with time-lapse cameras for their project sites and offers a bespoke software portal. This portal allows access to a comprehensive archive of images and time-lapse videos from the site. Construction contractors, urban developers, environmental scientists, and other professionals can thus capture the progress and transformation of their projects with precision and vibrancy. Upon project completion, these time-lapse videos can be showcased on social media to sustain public interest.

Hikvision’s Ultra Series Network Cameras, renowned for their crisp, clear imagery, are now integrated with Site-Eye’s innovative time-lapse systems. The linchpin of this collaboration is the Hikvision Embedded Open Platform (HEOP) 2.0, enabling the direct embedding of the Site-Eye Time-Lapse app into Hikvision cameras. This synergy of Site-Eye’s time-lapse expertise and Hikvision’s ultra-high-resolution 4K cameras opens up unique opportunities to capture construction projects, environmental changes, and various other scenarios with a remarkable level of clarity and detail.

Gareth Evans-McClave, Director of Site-Eye, says, “We have been really impressed with the team at Hikvision, who have provided us with the help and support we need to take our professional time-lapse solution to new markets. We leverage the power and image quality of Hikvision cameras to provide a reliable, stress-free time-lapse option for any installer, all while benefiting from a world-leading time-lapse back-end service.”

“Now a technology partner of Hikvision, Site-Eye is incorporating Hikvision’s market-proven products into its professional time-lapse service, not just in the UK but globally,” adds Adler Wu, Global Technology Partner Alliance Manager at Hikvision. “This partnership exemplifies how Hikvision’s innovative technologies become essential in collaborative technical solutions. We anticipate that this collaboration with Site-Eye will yield increased benefits and insights for users.”
