Breaking Barriers: A Woman’s Journey in Fire Safety Ms. Juhi Rajak

In a male-dominated profession, Ms. Juhi Rajak has defied odds and shattered stereotypes, proving that fire safety is not just a man’s domain. Her journey began with relentless determination, navigating physical challenges in her studies and fieldwork as an engineer. Despite excelling academically and practically, she faced rejections in job interviews solely for being a woman—until she took a stand.

On March 8, 2019—Women’s Day—she secured her first job by challenging gender biases in hiring practices. Since then, her career has soared, earning positions in four more companies, each recognizing her dedication and expertise. Today, she is the first, youngest, and only Female Fire Officer at the State Bank of India (SBI), where she is not only implementing fire safety measures but also educating personnel at all levels about its critical importance.

Her mission goes beyond personal success—she is actively advocating for fire safety as a career choice for young women, encouraging them to step into roles once deemed unattainable. Ms. Juhi Rajak is a true game-changer, proving that passion, persistence, and expertise can overcome any obstacle in a male-driven industry.

This Women’s Day, we celebrate her fearless spirit and contribution to fire safety, inspiring the next generation of women to step forward and lead!
