“SAFE INDIA BRAVERY” AWARDS – 2025 Ahmedabad – Honoring Courage Beyond the Call of Duty

Ahmedabad, November 7, 2025 Hyatt Regency Hotel
In a powerful display of unity, courage, and commitment, Gujarat’s firefighting community came together for the Safe India Bravery Awards – Ahmedabad 2025, a landmark event organized by Fire & Safety Magazine with support from the Gujarat State Fire Prevention Services. The event was part of the nationwide Bharat Safety Yatra, a movement dedicated to spreading awareness and leadership in safety and emergency response.

A Salute to Gujarat’s Fire Stations and Teams

This year’s edition moved away from individual recognitions to honor entire fire stations and teams for their collective excellence and bravery. A total of 87 Fire Stations from across Gujarat were recognized for their extraordinary performance in life-saving missions and community protection.

Special Recognition: Ahmedabad’s Finest

A moment of pride came when Ahmedabad Fire & Emergency Services — including all 19 fire stations and the central control room — were felicitated for their heroic operations during the plane crash on June 12, 2025. Their efficient coordination, alongside the Airport Fire Services and the ONGC Fire Team, prevented a greater disaster and earned heartfelt appreciation from all present.

“Our fire personnel exemplify the spirit of teamwork, compassion, and unwavering duty,” said Mr. Nalinkumar R. Chaudhary, Director (Fire), Gujarat State Fire Prevention Services. “Their courage under pressure strengthens public trust and safety across Gujarat.”

Knowledge Exchange and Learning

The event also hosted enriching technical sessions:
Mr. Anil Chavda, Deputy Director (Fire), on “Proactive Risk Control and Fire Safety Awareness.”
Mr. Amit Kumar Dongre, Chief Fire Officer, Ahmedabad Fire & Emergency Services, on “Modern Firefighting Challenges.”
Dr. Deepak Ghosh, Dy. CFO, Mumbai Fire Brigade, on “LPG Gas Fire Management.”
Mr. Maheshwar Swain, Ex. CFO Orissa Fire & Emergency Services on “Capacity Building on Disaster Management.”

These sessions encouraged collaboration and inspired future-focused safety practices.

Partners in Progress
The event’s success was supported by industry leaders — Prolite Autoglo, Brijbasi, Orient Fire Curtains, Firetex, AAAG, Kriya, Aska, NewAge Industries, Winco Valves, Swati Fire, Kannex, and Addsoft — whose commitment to safety innovation was widely appreciated.Special acknowledgment was extended to Kings Expomedia Ltd. for its expert planning and event management.

A Celebration of Valor and Leadership

More than an award ceremony, Safe India Bravery Awards – Gujarat 2025 became a heartfelt tribute to the courage and unity of those who risk their lives for others. As the Bharat Safety Yatra continues across India, the Ahmedabad chapter stands as a beacon of collaboration, discipline, and resilience — reminding the nation that true safety begins with shared responsibility and unwavering courage.
