SAFE INDIA Bravery AWARDS – UDAIPUR, Rajasthan : Celebrating 10 Years of Courage and National Fire Service Excellence

The Safe India Bravery Awards 2026, held on 28 January 2026 in Udaipur, Rajasthan, marked a landmark moment as the initiative completed 10 glorious years of honoring courage, dedication, and service across India’s fire and emergency response community. Celebrated through the 66th Award Ceremony, the event stood as a powerful testament to the growing national recognition of firefighters as essential protectors of public safety, industrial assets, and critical infrastructure.

This milestone edition witnessed the participation of 419 firefighters from across India, making it one of the most significant gatherings in the history of the Safe India Bravery Awards. The diversity and scale of attendance reflected the initiative’s nationwide acceptance and credibility among fire-service professionals. The occasion gained further prominence as it coincided with the All India Fire Services Games (27–31 January 2026) at Khel Gaon, Udaipur—creating a unique convergence of operational excellence, competitive spirit, and professional camaraderie. Together, these parallel events transformed Udaipur into a vibrant national hub for fire-service engagement, recognition, and collaboration.

A notable highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of 49 brave firefighters from Rajasthan, whose exemplary acts of courage were formally recognized for their role in protecting lives and property under challenging and high-risk conditions. Their recognition not only celebrated individual valor but also reflected the collective preparedness, discipline, and commitment of the Rajasthan Fire & Emergency Services.

Over the past decade, the Safe India Bravery Awards have evolved from a focused recognition platform into a nationwide movement dedicated to promoting excellence in fire safety and emergency response. Beyond honoring frontline firefighters, the initiative now celebrates the contributions of safety professionals, fire-safety manufacturers, corporates, and industrial plants that play a vital role in strengthening India’s safety ecosystem. This inclusive approach underscores a modern understanding of safety as a shared responsibility – encompassing prevention, preparedness, technology, training, and coordinated emergency response.

The Udaipur edition further emphasized the importance of collaboration between public agencies, industry leaders, and technology providers. The presence of senior fire officials, emergency management experts, and safety-solution innovators reinforced the need for integrated strategies to address emerging risks posed by rapid urbanization, industrial growth, and complex infrastructure demands. The event thus served not only as a celebration but also as a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and renewed commitment to safer operations nationwide.

As the Safe India Bravery Awards enter their second decade, the vision ahead is both ambitious and inspiring. With plans to expand the initiative across more cities and states, the mission is to deepen its national impact, uplift the morale of firefighters, and continue recognizing excellence across the broader fire and safety domain. The 66th Safe India Bravery Awards in Udaipur will be remembered as a defining milestone—one that reaffirmed the nation’s gratitude toward its fire-service heroes and strengthened the foundation for a safer, more resilient India.
