The 6th Safe-Tech Awards, Conference & Exhibition 2026 was successfully held on 3rd September 2026 at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, bringing together 598 distinguished guests representing the safety fraternity, fire services, industries, government authorities, plant leadership, EHS professionals and international representatives.
Built around the vision of ZERO ACCIDENTS ZERO HARM EVERYONE GOES HOME SAFE, the event once again created a powerful platform for recognition, knowledge sharing, leadership interaction and discussion on the changing face of workplace and industrial safety.
A Distinguished Gathering of National & International Leadership
The programme was honoured by the presence of H.E. Mr. Aliaksandr, Trade Commissioner – Belarus, Chief Guest, along with senior government officials, fire service leaders, international representatives and industry professionals.

The inauguration included Vande Mataram, the National Anthem and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome of the distinguished guests by Dr. Nirranjan Kumar Gupta with saplings and mementos.
Safety Pledge & Welcome
The programme began with a strong commitment towards a safer future.
The Safety Pledge was administered by Mr. Sunil Katekari, well-known Safety Professional and Ex-Safety HOD, VVF Ltd.
This was followed by the welcome address by Dr. Nirranjan Kumar Gupta, Group Editor – Fire & Safety Magazines and CEO, Safe-Tech, setting the tone for a day dedicated to safety leadership, innovation and collective responsibility.
Recognition of Excellence
The inaugural session also featured the Kings Excellence Awards – Product Excellence Recognition, celebrating leading companies and products contributing to the fire, safety and security ecosystem.

The presence of international representatives added an important global dimension to Safe-Tech 2026.
H.E. Mr. Aliaksandr, Trade Commissioner – Belarus, addressed the gathering as Chief Guest, followed by the address by two Special Guests of Honour representing the international diplomatic and trade community.
Their participation reinforced the importance of international cooperation, technology exchange and cross-border collaboration in advancing safety standards.
Technology, AI & the Future of Fire Safety
The technical programme moved into critical areas shaping the future of industrial safety.
Mr. Jaydev Sanda, GM, Prolite Autoglo Limited, presented “Safe Evacuation with AI”, highlighting the role of artificial intelligence in improving evacuation preparedness and emergency response.
This was followed by Mr. Udit Agarwal, MD, Brijbasi Fire & Safety Pvt. Ltd., who presented “Modernization of Fire Fighting”, focusing attention on the evolving technologies and capabilities required for modern firefighting.
Leadership Forum – A Powerful Exchange of Industry Experience
One of the most appreciated elements of Safe-Tech 2026 was the Leadership Forum / expert roundtable, which brought together experienced professionals for a meaningful exchange of views on industrial fire risks, technology and risk management.
The discussion was moderated by Mr. Dhananjay N. Patil, Retd. Director, Fire Service – ONGC, and brought together:

- Surya Rao – Sr. Safety Advisor, Reliance Industries Ltd.

The central theme was:
“Challenges and Mitigation of Fire Incidents through Emerging Technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Evolving Risk Management Strategies in the Hydrocarbon Industry.”
The session provided an opportunity for senior professionals to discuss real-world challenges, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, preparedness and proactive risk-management strategies in one of India’s most critical industrial sectors.

The conference continued with several important knowledge sessions.
Mr. Surya Rao delivered a technical presentation on:
“Building Resilient Industries through Integrated EHS Leadership, Emerging Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Proactive Risk Management.”
Mr. Ram Bhagirathibai Digambarrao Dahiphale, Additional Director, Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health, Government of Maharashtra, addressed the audience on OSH Codes, bringing an important regulatory and compliance perspective.
Dr. Ajit Salvi, Director, AIILS, addressed Fire Fighting & Rescue Challenges, highlighting the practical challenges faced by emergency response professionals.

The programme also formally welcomed Mr. Santosh Warick, Director, Maharashtra Fire Services and Chief Fire Officer, MIDC Mumbai, further strengthening the participation of senior fire service leadership at the event.
INDI-SEC Expo 2027 – The Next Big Platform
The afternoon session introduced the industry’s next major platform — INDI-SEC Expo 2027.
The INDI-SEC Exhibition Powered Wing, together with an exclusive presentation and skit on INDI-SEC Expo and Kings Elite Safety, presented the vision for the upcoming integrated platform covering Fire Protection, Industrial Safety, Homeland Security and Cyber Security.
This session provided the audience with an insight into the scale and opportunities planned for the upcoming INDI-SEC Expo.

Recognising that workplace safety extends beyond emergency response and industrial protection, Dr. Reena Valecha delivered a technical presentation on:
“Enhancing Wellness Through Ergonomics.”
The session brought attention to the importance of employee wellness, ergonomics and human factors as integral components of a modern safety culture.
