Ravel Electronics Pvt Ltd started operations in 2004 with the manufacturing of conventional panels alone. Over the years it has maintained the concept of customer satisfaction being the sole driver for growth and consequently, with the encouragement of the market, launched the detectors for conventional systems and the addressable systems as well. The company also obtained the UL listing which is still unique for a manufacturer in India and the ISO accreditation.
Today the company has a comprehensive range to fulfill the conventional fire alarm system, Addressable fire alarm systems, the voice evacuation system and the fireman telephone system.
With the UL listing on the products, the company has also been actively promoting business overseas and currently have their footprints in over 20 countries including Middle East, Indonesia, Philippines, Egypt, Turkey, South America, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc.
Q.2. How do you find the Fire Safety market in the India? Name a single product where you hold the maximum market share in Indian markets?
Fire Safety market is certainly growing atleast by 30 – 40% year on year. Being a developing nation this growth rate is going to happen atleast for the next 5 years. Furthermore the Government's concept on smart cities etc., will also spur the industry's growth.
The conventional 2 Zone Panel is considered Ravel's brand ambassador and we are confident that we will be holding the maximum market share for this product.
Q.3. Brief us about your outreach & facilities offered to brand the Emergency Systems offered by you?
Starting with pre-sales we are fully equipped to assist the buyer in designing the system and arriving at the exact bill of quantities for the Fire Alarm and Public Address system.
We offer free training to all our partners and familiarize them with the entire system which includes hands-on training as well.
Once the system is installed we depute our engineer to the project site and help the integrator in commissioning the system. All the above mentioned facilities being offered may not be available with most of our competitors. Thus we ensure that the brand is getting established in the market.
Q.4. Can you elaborate more about the product Portfolio & its application? Could you brief us about this product & how is it helpful?
Our product range includes:
Conventional Fire Alarm System: cater to small projects wherever the quantity of the detectors are less. This is an economic and time tested solution.
Addressable Fire Alarm System: We have two different range of products in this category. 4 Loop Fire Alarm System with accessories. Single loop fire alarm system with accessories
Most of the big projects are covered with the Addressable System. The quantity of devices & detectors will decide the model to be offered.
Voice Evacuation System (Public Address System): We offer two different models of PA System compatible with conventional and addressable FAS respectively. Both the models are cost effective. Its application is for automatic announcement in emergency situations.
Firefighter Telephone System: For emergency two way communication between the master panel and to the nodal units.
Q.5. What is your market expectations with regards to some of the pioneering product launched by you in the Indian market Region?
When a new product is launched especially by a company which is an indigenous manufacturer, it is imperative to maintain the technical competence at par with other MNC's offering. However the bottom line would be to provide most competitive price for the solution being offered. It would be an advantage if those products would carry any International approval or recognition.
Q.6. Tell us the agenda to improve Ravel Electronics Pvt Ltd position in India& what are the Business benefits to look forward?
The company has very clear road map as far as growth in India is concerned. We are focusing in establishing distributors and partners in vacant areas and tier-2, tier-3 cities.
We also have plans to launch high end products which would position Ravel to compete in larger projects.
We have short term plans of setting up a new facility at Chennai to enhance our production capacity.
Plans for road shows and seminars at strategic locations is on the anvil.
With all these road maps getting implemented we expect a growth prospect of 30% year on year only for the domestic market.
Q.7. Looking further ahead, how do you see Ravel Electronics Pvt Ltd growing even more in the future, especially in the International market?
Currently Ravel is catering to approximately 20 Countries across the Globe. We have been very cautious in opening up of the brand for new areas as we were ensuring that the products are well accepted in the existing territories.
Market acceptance for the product is now very clear by the fact that repeat business has been obtained from 80% of our overseas clients from various countries.
We are now looking to explore more countries and our plan for setting up the new production unit will support to enhance the global market demand.
