FFE bringing the latest in smoke and flame detection to Fire India

Fireray logoFFE is bringing the latest in wide-area smoke and flame detection to Fire India by showing its extensive range of Fireray optical beam smoke detectors and Talentum flame detectors.

Held between 21-22 September at the Chennai Trade Center, it will be the Southern Indian region’s leading security, fire and safety exhibition and conference. FFE will be located at Booth D15, which the company will be sharing with fellow-Halma company Advanced.

With over half a million units installed worldwide, Fireray is the first choice for installers and engineers looking for optical beam smoke detection over wide areas. With its modern design aesthetic and minimal footprint, the Fireray is popular with architects for a wide range of applications, including airports and aircraft hangers, conference and shopping centres, sports and leisure facilities, warehouses, historic buildings and places of worship.

In addition to Fireray beam detectors, visitors will also get to see Talentum flame detectors, which are used in sensitive or dangerous environments to detect fires even before there is any smoke produced, or where smokeless fires may occur. By watching for and recognising the non-visible ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) signatures of the flames themselves, the Talentum range does not need smoke to know if there is a fire. They can detect flames through steam and smoke and, with an Air Purge Kit, dust as well. They are also immune to the effects of wind.

“FFE has always been driven by innovation, from the introduction of the first Fireray optical beam smoke detector over thirty years ago to the integration of the Talentum flame detector range in 2013,” comments the company’s Managing Director Mark Osborne.

“These products are relied on to protect some of the most iconic buildings in the world, from the White House and Buckingham Palace to Dubai Airport and the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, as well as countless industrial installations worldwide. Talentum flame detectors have also been selected to protect the Bloodhound supersonic car, set to break the world land-speed record in the coming years,” added Mark

To find out more about these technologies and to see demonstration of these products be sure to visit FFE’s booth (D 15), where our industry experts will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
