Fire Fighter’s Contribution – Combating Covid-19 PANDEMIC

BRIEF

Hemant Khadse, CEO of East Corp Group sharing his personal experience and efforts made during lockdown to make most and overcome negativity around. He runs Fire and Security consulting organization based at Mumbai.

Since Lockdown

16th March was the last day for our office and ever since we are under lockdown period. It was never imagined a pandemic situation for all of us but there is hardly we have control over on it. I watched carefully the PM address and first 2 days of market reactions and decided that we have to face the situation as is and there is no way we can change the situation. Although I was well aware and passed through “Work from Home” habit for almost a decade during my tenure with MNC, this was relatively new for my organization team to pass through. The first thing I did was to connect with team and establish direct and clear communication giving them facts and preparedness during this lockdown. I took them into confidence and asked them to prepare the “Things to do” plan for next 30 days. Focus was on three areas;

  • Identify the gaps and work out learning plan – Skill based technical and soft
  • Review and analyze the historical data, process, work plan, work flow etc
  • Create new goals, systems, procedures, methods to do your job effectively.

Everyone was in sync with this and we were all set to meet up daily on web calls discussing each other progress and help each other in achieving plans.

WEBINARS AND FACEBOOK LIVE

I also realized the opportunity to share the knowledge that I have and give back to society in the form of free webinars. Today the safety awareness is very low and it is need of hour to reach out to people and ignite their minds to create awareness on life safety. I have decided to reach out 10000 plus people and we have so far successfully conducted 9 webinars and touched upon 1000 plus people in last 2 weeks.

QUALITY TIME WITH FAMILY

This is one of the greatest moment to spend some good quality time with your loved ones. We get to know our family and even ourselves from inside and understand each other well.
