INTRODUCTION
All India Fire Service Sports Control Board a registered organization set up in pursuance by the National level players and Fire Chiefs of Fire Service with the Aim & Objective of Promotion of Sports, Fire Games and Fire Services Meet at National and International Level. All India Fire Service Sports Control Board offers a global connection of one of a kind bringing fire services in India together to carefully curating envisaging the best Sports, Games and Fire Service Meet centered around the ‘Khelo India Khelo’ and ‘Fit India Movement’. Playing sports inculcates team spirit, developed structural and analytical thinking, leadership skills, goal setting and risk-taking capacity.
VISION
All India Fire Service Sports Control Board is established to generate an encouraging spirit among Fire Service personnel towards the invaluable importance of sports and fitness in one’s life, leading towards fit and healthy individuals, healthy society, improved organizations and a strong Nation. Board will formulate and implement plans for the promotion, development and improvement of standards of Sports and Fire Service Meets at National and International level in synchronisation with the Sports Policy of the Government of India. To arrange, hold, sponsor, organise and manage National Fire Service Games.
MISSION
All India Fire Service Sports Control Board is committed to improve the Standard of National Fire Service Games generating high number of medalists at International events. To co-ordinate, liaison and work with Government of India, Sports Authority of India, Sports Councils/Boards, Indian Olympic Association, National sports Federations and similar District, State and National Associations or Bodies. To help Fire service personnel to identify and achieve their development, growth and goals in sports by professional competence and providing certified and experienced training.
On 26th January 2021 with the celebrations of Republic day AIFSSCB launched its Logo and ‘Fit & Fire Safe India- Cyclothon’. Inspired by the Fit India Mission, Board will organize Firefighters Cyclothon in the country observing the Fire service day i.e.,14th April. A nice initiative by our Firefighters to organise country’s first Firefighters Cyclothon; ‘Fit & Fire Safe India’ is planned to be conducted with the support and guidance of Sports Ministry, Fit India and Khelo India.
Every year 14th April is observed as National Fire Service Day, in remembrance of Fire Service Martyr’s Firefighters/Cyclists from state fire services will start the Cyclothon to reach National Fire Service College, Nagpur on 14th April, for laying wreath on the Martyr’s Column in addition to paying homage to the Firemen by the cyclists keeping in view the COVID instructions. The ‘Fit & Fire Safe India Cyclothon’ will be a mass awareness drive covering major cities. Fit India will provide opportunity to citizens to participate in the Cyclothon and for the first time in country encourage Firefighter and people participation. The cyclists/Firefighter will carry fire safety and Fit India awareness leaflets along with them and distribute it on their way to Nagpur. In addition, cyclists from the city will reach the city fire service HQs to pay homage to firemen on 14th April, 2021.
Board will achieve target of fit Firefighters under ‘FIT INDIA MOVEMENT” and aware masses about fire safety during “FIRE SERVICE WEEK” by organising a Fire Fighters Cyclothon and Homage paying ceremony. This will increase the bounding between firefighters and general public also. Board is committed to improve the Standard of National Fire Service Games generating high number of medallists at International events. To co-ordinate, liaison and work with Government of India, Sports Authority of India, Sports Councils/Boards, Indian Olympic Association, National sports Federations and similar District, State and National Associations or Bodies and Fire service headquarters.
AIFSSCB planning for the First Fire Service Games and Meet in the Month of October, 2021 either at Goa or Delhi. It is expected that more than 2000 fire service personnel will participate in these games. An encouragement to all firefighter to participate in sports and fitness, to become the part of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s initiative of Khelo India Khelo and Fit India program.
