Sunil Subhash Katekari currently working with VVF (India) Limited as Asst. General Manager –Environment, Health & Safety and responsible for all site of VVF. He is having around 25 years of industrial experience which included 20 years of very rich experience in the field of Environment, Health, Safety & Fire. He is a Science graduate with Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety, Advanced Diploma in Environment Management & Fire Safety.
He is member of Mutual Aid Response Group, District Crisis Group – Raigad. He is honored by District Collector – Raigad, Superintendent of Police – Raigad, Jt. Director of Industrial Safety & Health – Raigad as Chemical Emergency Expert under Rule 8 (1) of The Chemical Accidents (Emergency Planning, Preparedness & Response) Rules 1996. He has contributed his Safety expertise for handling some the industrial & Road emergencies by supporting Police & Fire Department. He is having very good knowledge of legal requirements, Hazard identification techniques, Audits, Management systems. As per strength finder study Includer, Responsibility, Analytical, strategic & Arranger are his top five signature strength.
He has started his carrier as Laboratory Chemist with Laxmi Organic Industies Limited Mahad, further he was promoted as Shift Incharge & then Safety Officer. He switched over his job to Taloja and joined Apcotex Industries Limited as Executive EHS. He has joined VVF Industries Limited as Manager EHS in 2008.
He is involved in various social activities. He is very passionate to deliver Safety awareness trainings. He has shared his knowledge though awareness training in surrounding Industries, Associations & Educational Institutes / collages. He is utilizing advanced technologies, digital media to reach to more & more peoples to spread awareness. He has developed Industrial Safety App which includes various Safety Training modules, Self-Assessment Safety Quiz with facility of Certification.
Out of the professional & Social life he enjoys his hobbies. He is writer, poet, dancer & actor. He also edits, produces and directs short films. His short films are entertains as well as gives social messages. Some of his short films are recognized & awarded recently.
His is recognized at various platforms & facilitated with awards. Recently he is selected & awarded as Star of Maharashtra for his sparkling contribution towards Professional, Social activities & as well as active participation to fulfill hobbies.
His dream is to focus more of Safety Awareness in various means. His Advanced Safety App is under development which will be available to all Safety Professionals, Employees, Students as well as General public. He is also working on series of videos on various Safety topics.
