Q: Why according to you is Fire India is a success and a must attend for fire and safety community?
IFE (India) has been associated with Fire India and team since the shows inception with humble beginnings. The show has seen consistent growth over the years and now host exhibitors and visitors from over 23 countries. Fire India is the largest fire show’s in the country has brought the community together successfully for over 25 years. The event still remains as the most preferred show of its kind, more importantly the fire and safety community in India and abroad continues to extend its support and recognises Fire India as the most effective networking and business platform.
Q: Please tell us something about the Institution of Fire Engineers (India)?
Institution of Fire engineers (India) was established on the recommendations of the standing fire advisory council constituted by the Chief of Fire service in India and headed by DG NDRF and CD Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The institution was founded in the year 1973 as a premier non-government organisation NGO and professional body registered under the society’s act 1860 as resolved in one of the meetings held under the chairmanship of the divine Home Minister, Minister of India Sri BN Datar, Ministry of Home Affairs, IFE (India) is dedicated to the cause of fire engineers and fire engineering profession. The graduateship examination conducted by institution is recognised by Ministry of HRD, Department of Education Government of India for appointment to the post of Divisional officers and below in Central and state government and local bodies.
Q: What is your point of view on the current fire industry ?
I have seen the fire industry go through two phases 1995 to 2005 and 2005 to 2019, during this period the awareness of fire safety grew exponentially, with the government enforcing fire safety standards the need for innovative and new technology from the industry’s end users also grew during this period. Fire India was the only platform for fire industry to meet and network. It provided a platform for international organisations to share knowledge and showcase new technology. Since its beginning Fire India has hosted the cutting edge conference to ensure the industry not only has opportunity to meet and network, but more importantly, learn from the experts. I am really proud with the impact Fire India has had on the industry.
Today India has witnessed a substantial increase in terms of awareness about fire safety and security.
The market revenues of India’s fire and safety equipment is expected to reach 4.94 billion dollars by the end of 2019, also the Make in India initiative has provided a platform for local as well as international companies to launch new products and manufacture them in India. Fire India Delhi will offer exhibitors a platform that will cater to and host key decision makers within the fire and safety industry.
Q: Please tell us about the international conference held by IFE (India) and what can we expect from this year’s conference?
The Institution of Fire Engineers (India) regularly ventures to organise the international conference with an array of topics, issues and technologies, also what to expect in the future of fire industry. The theme of this mega International event is “Fire and disaster free India – Building a Surakshit Bharat.”
The conference will be organised from 19th to 21st of September 2019 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The International Fire India conference held earlier has been very popular and educative among all sections of the world.
Technical papers will be presented by eminent professional experts in various fields from various countries. Experts in the field from many international areas will also be presenting validated papers on various topics.
