Awareness on Workplace Safety has reached newer grounds as, KARAM, one of the finest Indian companies providing world class PPE & Fall Protection, successfully launched their 2nd Mobile Demo Van under the Campaign “Safe India Drive”. The Demo Van would travel the length and breadth of India, covering major cities with the main focus to spread awareness of workplace safety. The studio/van was inaugurated and flagged-off on 4th July, in the city by Chief Guest Mr. P.K. Rao – Director at UP Fire Services. The following is the event flow-
- Warm welcome of Mr. P K Rao by KARAM Management by presenting a bouquet and then lightening up the lamp.
- Overview of KARAM given by Mr. Rajesh Nigam followed by the overview/milestones of Mobile demo Van Unit 1 by Mr. Sandeep Arora.
- Mr. P K Rao shared few of his experiences and the KARAM Safe India Drive campaign in the form of a Mobile Demo Van was very well appreciated and welcomed by him.
- Mr. P K Rao unveiled the curtains and launched the 2nd Mobile demo van and a complete demonstration of products was shown to him.
- Mr. P K Rao waved the flag and the van departed for spreading safe work practices.
The first KARAM Mobile Demo Van, till date, has covered more than 32,000 kilometres across India and established base at more than 300 “Safety Conscious” companies. In the process, they have trained more than 41,000 people working at various industrial sites, creating a huge success in their maiden endeavour. Noting this overwhelming response, they decided to launch their 2nd van amongst greater anticipation. More than 70 products from different product categories, industries, and hazards have been covered in the demo van accompanied with large range of product displays/demos, testing and training
Speaking on this momentous occasion, Ms. Kavita Nigam, General Manager, HR Publicity, and Promotion, KARAM, said “We are thrilled to launch the 2nd edition of our Demo Van, in the beautiful city of Lucknow. At KARAM, we believe that we save a life through every product or training that we provide. Our Demo Vans are an extension of our beliefs, as they cover length and breadth of the nation, in a tryst to save lives.”
She further added “India is famed for its labour –centric work force, yet there is a grave lacking in terms of workplace security with close to 2 out of 10 labourers losing their lives due to workplace fatalities. The Demo van is an endeavour to acknowledge the importance of a safe work environment and create awareness on the use of safety equipments.”
In the initial phase of spreading awareness, KARAM successfully covered states like Delhi/NCR, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala, Gujarat. The main objective is to cover all parts of India to spread ‘safety awareness.
