Technical Conclave on Industrial Safety

editTechnical conclave on Industrial Fire Safety organized by FPAI in association with ABEC and NAFO on the 19th of November concluded on a delightful note. ABEC has a strategic alliance with FPAI for its Fire & Safety India expo happening concurrently with Secutech India on the 6th – 7th – 8th of April, 2016. With this conclave turning out to be a launch-pad for the expo next year, we are confident on seeing Fire & Safety India reach a new mark in their 2nd edition.

With a crowd turnout of 500+ people, the conclave witnessed deliberations and idea-generation on various aspects of industrial safety, innovation and change in existing technology. The speakers included familiar personalities from the fire safety industries, each trying their bit to help move India into a fire protected country.

The first half of the conclave grasped the potential of the industry and how the dream of converting Maharashtra into a fireproof state is achievable by making conscious attempts in transitioning into a more evolved technology. There were discussions being made on foam fire-fighting and gas fire suppression. The other important topic of risk management through process safety also saw rhetoric by the panelists. The panel discussions was applauded by the delegates and was concluded with Maharashtra being is the leading state in fire protection technologies and fire safety framework for industrial as well as residential sectors. That it should be an example for rest of the states in India.

img_7460-1In the later half, there were discussions about the dynamic fire industry and its effects in the energy, construction and the heavy metal industries and the impacts on the overall efficiency on the industry. We also saw the importance of passive fire protection in industrial safety along with implementation of maintenance codes.

In closing, the delegates were introduced to Fire & Safety India expo and how it could take the big dream of making India fireproof a step ahead.
